Creating Mintables

This guide walks you through:

• Choosing a Mintable Type
• Add Mintable Details
• Set Pricing, Chain, and Mint Conditions

Getting Started

Before creating your first Mintable, you’ll need to set up a Community Vault. The vault is where funds from Mintable sales will be received.

1. Start from Your Community Page

Go to your Creator/Community Page, open the Create menu, and select Mintable. This begins the Mintable creation workflow.

2. Choose a Mintable Type

Select the type of Mintable you want to create. Examples include:

• Art
• PFP Avatar
• Poster
• OP Theme
• OP Wearables (coming soon)

Each type has specific requirements for artwork, metadata, and traits.

3. Add Mintable Details

Enter the basic information for your Mintable:

• Name
• Description
• Category
• Custom metadata traits
• Rarity (optional)

You can define metadata traits such as:

• Style
• Theme
• Edition
• Material
• Power level (for game-related items)

Traits help collectors understand what makes your item unique.

4. Upload Artwork

Upload your artwork or asset files.
(Recommended Minimum resolution: 2000px) Supported formats:

• PNG (recommended)
• JPG
• GLB (for 3D items)

5. Set Pricing, Chain, and Mint Conditions

Choose a blockchain

Current supported chains:

• ApeChain
• Base

Selecting a chain prompts the next step:
Mintable Collection creation.

6. Create or Select a Mintable Collection

A Mintable Collection organizes multiple Mintables under one contract.
If a Collection does not exist yet, you’ll be prompted to create one.

Important:

If your Community does not have a Community Vault, you will be unable to continue.
You will be redirected to Community Settings → Vault to set one up.

7. Configure Mint Conditions

You can configure how collectors access your Mintable:

Open Mint

Available to everyone.

​

Discounted Mint

Offer a lower price to:

• Badge holders
• NFT holders
• Custom allowlists

(With an optional standard price for everyone else.)

​

Gated Mint

Mintable is restricted only to those who meet conditions:

• Badge-gated
• NFT-gated
• Allowlist-gated

8. Set Mint Period & Supply

Configure:

• Mint open date
• Mint close date
• Total supply

You can leave supply open or fixed depending on your drop format.

9. Preview & Publish

Review all Mintable settings:

• Artwork
• Traits
• Pricing
• Chain
• Mint period
• Supply
• Conditions
• Collection

When everything looks correct, click Publish. Your Mintable will immediately appear:

• On op.xyz/mintables
• On your Creator/Community Page → Mintables
• With its own unique Mintable URL you can share

Next Steps

Once your Mintable is published, you can:

• Promote your Mintable link
• Track mints and collectors
• Create additional Mintables inside the same Collection
• Prepare for wearable Mintables using OP Wearable Blanks (see next section)

Managing Your Mintables

• Edit Allowlists: Update your allowlists at any time before or during the mint period
• View Analytics: Track minting activity, sales, and community engagement
• Browse Mintables: Discover Mintables created by other communities in the marketplace

Best Practices

• Optimize Metadata: Include relevant traits and attributes to improve discoverability
• High-Quality Artwork: Use high-resolution images that showcase your items well
• Clear Pricing: Set competitive prices that reflect the value of your Mintables
• Community Engagement: Use allowlists and token gating to reward your most engaged community members
• Supply Strategy: Consider scarcity when setting supply limits to create value
